Pros
- I’ve been playing more of MIO and loving it. First 2 hours were rough... but since then I’ve had a great time. The art style, world design/set pieces, and level design are fantastic. Furthermore the bosses are actually interesting to fig...
- The only game to play is MIO.
- Mio is really good
- MiO went from mixed to generally positive a few months ago.
- Currently sitting in my top 3 of the year next to Resident Evil Requiem and Mio.
Cons
- Started MIO and am currently two hours in. Mixed experience so far, I love the art direction, movement, music. But the gameplay decisions especially early on really grate on me in ways that other difficult games never did (silksong, nine...
- Parent context: Tried playing MiO and dropped it in 70 minutes or so after I found a game breaking issue. Reply: The game uses the same button to interact and attack. I found a chest with an enemy standing right on stop of it and I could...
- while it's a fantastic game in a lot of ways, some design decisions are truly baffling. Particularly, the map and the way it makes you go back to the checkpoint just to know where you're standing. It's inconvenient and there's no good re...
- What's the point of having the map update only at checkpoints in this game (especially when you have one checkpoint per biome and no reason to go back to it on purpose)? ... In MiO there's absolutely no reason for the map no to open up i...

I’ve been playing more of MIO and loving it. First 2 hours were rough... but since then I’ve had a great time. The art style, world design/set pieces, and level design are fantastic. Furthermore the bosses are actually interesting to fight with unique ideas unlike many MVs.
Started MIO and am currently two hours in. Mixed experience so far, I love the art direction, movement, music. But the gameplay decisions especially early on really grate on me in ways that other difficult games never did (silksong, nine sols, etc.) Starting the game with 2 health, no map, and no way to heal made for a very tedious opening.
The only game to play is MIO.

Parent context: Tried playing MiO and dropped it in 70 minutes or so after I found a game breaking issue. Reply: The game uses the same button to interact and attack. I found a chest with an enemy standing right on stop of it and I couldn't kill the enemy, nor open the chest due to a lack of iframes.
In order. Silksong, Mio, PoP, Aeterna Noctis, Depths of Sanity, Nine Sols, Hollow Knight, Ender Lilies, Dragonloop, Blasphemous 2.
I mean everyone knows MIO shot for the moon, you don't need me to tell you that.
I finally finished MIO. What an amazing metroidvania. Final gameplay time was the same as Afterimage. What a shame that this will only be remembered by the public as another victim of the ever oppressive hollow knight
