Pros

  • People said it’s another Tunic experience, but it really didn’t capture the same magic for me.
  • In contrast I really liked Tunic because if you were stuck you could literally just go somewhere else and work on a different puzzle. Being able to walk away let me solve essentially the entire game over time without looking anything up.
  • Finished a Tunic second play through. This game is incredible. Filled me with wonder even the second time 4 years later. One of the greats for sure.
  • i absolutely adored Tunic, genuinely one of my top 10 games. i did use the invincibility mode to get through a few sections (glow spiders my beloathed), but the feeling of being in a world bigger than you that you don't understand is jus...
  • For me, that just made the game fantastic and one of the best gaming experiences ever, but I love puzzle games. To realise the whole game has been giving you clues you didn't realise were clues, and then to piece them all together was so...

Cons

  • I remember trying Tunic after Death's Door and I didn't like it too much. But I wll revisit it some day since I hear a lot of good things about it, maybe playing them back to back was a mistake and I got tired of the simple minimalistic...
  • I dropped the game right after beating the first "big boss". It's a shame because I honestly really loved the exploration, the mysteries and the manual thing. But unfortunately "combat" didn't clicked at all, I didn't like the clunky...
  • Tunic is an indie game with lovely visuals which can be summed up as a combination Fez, Zelda and Dark Souls. Its as difficult as it is beautiful, with some creative gameplay choices which work well but dont stop it from feeling overly l...
  • It's giving me what I thought Tunic would give me, a game I ultimately thought played in a classical Zelda-like fashion despite the puzzle-manual.
  • TUNIC oozes love and nostalgia. ... The only thing holding TUNIC back from my list of all-time greats is the inexplicable decision to turn the game into a crushing Soulslike around 80% of the way through. The difficulty spike comes out o...

To me that final section is the heart and soul of Tunic. It contains some of the greatest puzzles ever put in a game. One puzzle in particular -if youve played the game you know which- single-handedly elevated the game from Great to Masterpiece.

Tunic is an indie game with lovely visuals which can be summed up as a combination Fez, Zelda and Dark Souls. Its as difficult as it is beautiful, with some creative gameplay choices which work well but dont stop it from feeling overly long and repetitive.
