Pros

  • I only have the Minimal theme and the corresponding plugins installed, then Emoji Shortcodes and Zotero integration.
  • Minimal and Cupertino and my favs.
  • and I like it, and I like the customization here. I can make it with colors like Things, and be quite sure that it will be maintained and up to date with Obsidian changes!
  • Same, I had another more niche theme before but it was quite annoying to have to passively wait for updates from its creator with each release containing breaking changes. So I opted for Minimal too
  • Switched back to Minimal yesterday and I'm already down 200 lines of custom CSS (out of roughly 1000). Going to take the next few weeks to trim down even more, but to be honest I already feel as if a weight has been lifted off of my setup.

Cons

  • This is the perfected version of the minimal theme. Minimal didn’t have enough separation between the editor and side panels as well as it not having rounded corners.
  • It’s not working with the minimal theme.
  • Does not work with Minimal Theme, but all others I have tested
  • Then I started to customize my way around minimal. Until I got bored of it.
  • And also, there were some jankiness from Commander etc in my Minimal theme, I dunno

I love minimal, so changing themes isn’t the solution for me unfortunately.

if you install the Minimal Theme and Style Settings, there is an option in Style Settings for the Minimal Theme to disable the Markdown syntax.
