Merkur Futur

Pros

• I was working on my technique with Futur and R41 and came to love them so much I really didn't want to have to learn something else.
• How I started years ago (and used for 15 years): Merkur Futur $80
• and a copy of Merkur Futur, shaves well, symmetrical... but the original is premium...
• This technique is similar to what I use with the Merkur Futur on the final pass, and turns out it works perfectly with the Blackbird too.
• Merkur Futur is no joke. You can shave an ape with that thing.

Cons

• Parent context: The futur is my worst enemy! Reply: It's just one of my best friends...
• The futur is my worst enemy!
• It's not as aggressive as the Merkur Futur but still pretty aggressive with prominent bladefeel.
• Every few months I pull mine out and use it for a few days. It's fine as long as I am afraid of it. As soon as I get too comfortable, it attacks.
