I'm biased, I have a Denon and a Marantz (which is almost the same thing, same company.)
I've owned several dedicated amps over the years (NAD, marantz, and Emotiva).
For me, the Denon and Marantz prices are crazy high - about 45% higher than they were a year ago.
If you have to look at it for anymore than 30 seconds a month get the Marantz

I find that Denon and Marantz are the best "bang for buck" brands, but they also tend to cost more than say a Yamaha or Onkyo/Integra.
Much prefer them over denon/marantz as the dirac license is included.
I've got a yamaha rx-3070, but denon, marantz etc they all have their flagship series which do the same thing. Those are great first front mains and right away will be fantastic.
If money is not a concern, Marantz would be great.
I personally have a Marantz and like it more than the Denon I replaced but it shouldn't be that much different.
