Mandarin Bean
Reddit take
Not enough linked mention summaries yet; the source excerpts below are the evidence.
Pros
- You want some audio content that's short and "easy", has a transcript, and is leveled to work through, things like like ChinesePod, maayot, mandarinbean, short learners stories on YouTube etc.
- mandarinbean.com has free graded readers!
- Du Chinese, MandarinBean.com and HSKreading.com have graded readers with accompanying audio.
- Save yourself time and get something to read in Chinese any graded reader doesnt matter whose it is or where it is. DuChinese, TCB, Mandarinbean, Pleco add-on, Assimil anything just something you can read.
- I woild suggest the graded reader series. There's also mandarinbean.com as well.
Cons
- You tried mandarinbean.com ?
- mandarinbean, anki, and I'd suggest looking up pimsleur and even getting the HSK books.
- A good source I was using for a while was MandarinBean. However lately, the supposedly HSK3 lessons are featuring high amounts of HSK4+ vocab, which is frustrating and not conducive to learning.
- when I checked out resources like MandarinBean, I found that they include a lot of vocabulary that I haven't encountered yet in Duolingo.
- Free alternative: MandarinBean (but has less function)
