Reddit take

Not enough linked mention summaries yet; the source excerpts below are the evidence.

Pros

  • I'd still recommend a western national park, especially if it's a popular one (think Sequoia). If trails are heavily traveled, dangerous wildlife risk is minimal.
  • Sequoia all day. That year Tahoe is a good vehicle, but if I’m picking one to make it to 500,000 miles or more I’m betting my money on the Seqouia.
  • Both very tanky but I'd go with newer with a bit more creature comforts and the Sequoia probably doesn't have as much plastic as the Tahoe.
  • Both very reliable
  • Don't update and stay on Sequoia if you don't want to ruin your Christmas 😉

Cons

  • I would revert to the previous system, Sequoia; this new system is terrible.
  • Sequoia.
  • A lot of the best trails in Yosemite and Sequoia are snowed in January and required special gear or were just closed.
  • I really hate Sequoia and want Sonoma back on my m2. It's been a buggy mess, it has the AI that I don't trust to stay off, and my performance and battery are worse.
  • Cottonwood canyon in DV, could easily plan a trip through Zion, sawtooths, could do part of Tahoe rim, sequoia, Joshua tree, there are so many options lol

V8 Sequoia. You won't have issues.

Those motors were also used in Sequoia, Landcruiser/LX570, and GX460 but these vehicles may cost much more than a Tundra of the same vintage.
