Linux Mint XFCE

Pros

• Parent context: Dell Vostro 200 2 GB RAM Intel Core 2 dou cpu 512 GB Hard disk With no Dedicated GPU Reply: Linux Mint Xfce or Linux Lite.
• i dont need nothing, Mint XFCE solves! ty!
• Mint XFCE can already run pretty much everything you need: Python, C/C++, Java, Rust, Go, Node.js, Git, Docker, VS Code, Vim/Neovim, GCC, Clang, databases, development libraries, …
• if you want it to work straight out of the box try Linux Mint XFCE
• Linux Mint XFCE or MX Linux.

Cons

• Linux Lite is better than Linux Mint XFCE, because it's built to be small and lightweight and XFCE is its only DE and its main focus. XFCE on Mint is an afterthought.
• i've recently installed linux mint XCFE on my new laptop, a medion akoya P6618. the issue is, it gets poor performance in games it should get good FPS. i also see when using steam overlay rhat gpu sits at 0%.
• I looked back at the info pages and it specifically noted that the XCFE didn't work well with older Nvidia cards.
• Linux Mint XFCE (might kinda lag)
• i use linux mint xfce 22.2 ... i customized the shit out of it now lwk looks like macos, but i miss widgets and something better looking
