Reddit take

AI summary of the Reddit excerpts below — not a quote

Lian Li is highly regarded as a premium hardware brand, particularly dominant in the PC case and cooling market. Reddit users consistently praise the brand for its superior aesthetics, high build quality, and innovations that simplify the building process, such as magnetic fan connections and cable management-friendly designs. While it carries a price premium, it is frequently recommended for builders who prioritize a "clean" look and reliable manufacturer support.

Pros

  • Exceptional aesthetics and sleek designs, often considered the standard for visual-focused builds.
  • High build quality with a reputation for being easy to build in and cable manage.
  • Innovative features like magnetic snap-together fans (Uni Fans) and ARGB power extensions (Strimers).
  • Strong warranty support, with users reporting positive experiences resolving issues via Discord.
  • Good inclusion of features like anti-sag brackets and high-quality pre-installed fans in many models.

Cons

  • Premium pricing that is often significantly higher than budget-oriented competitors.
  • Proprietary controllers are frequently required for their ARGB accessories to function correctly.
  • Certain compact models have strict hardware limitations, such as specific GPU length or radiator thickness caps.

Caveats

  • Some Lian Li accessories, like Strimer cables, generally require the brand's own proprietary controllers for full functionality.
  • While often high-quality, some users find the price-to-performance ratio lower than brands like Montech or Phanteks for basic airflow needs.

Best for

  • Aesthetic-focused PC builds.
  • First-time builders who want a case that simplifies cable management.
  • Users looking for high-end magnetic fan ecosystems.

Avoid if

  • You are on a strict budget where every dollar must go toward core performance components.
  • You prefer to avoid proprietary RGB software and hardware ecosystems.

I’ve heard good things about a brand called Nollie but you may be able to find some from other brands as well like Corsair and I think Lian Li might have one too.

I want to buy the lian li v100 which is very cheap for a lian li. I think aesthetic wise lian li looks way better since the fans that came with the h510 rgb doesn't work.

The well known brands are Fractal design, Lian li, Phantes, Corsair, Cooler master, Hyte and many many more. I’d say a good price is in the $150 range +/- $50.
