Reddit take
AI summary of the Reddit excerpts below — not a quote
Laneige Cream Skin is a popular hybrid toner and moisturizer frequently praised for its deep hydration and effectiveness in treating dry patches. While many users consider it a long-term staple for its ability to simplify routines and layer well in winter, opinions are mixed regarding its finish and skin compatibility, with some reporting a sticky residue or localized irritation.
Pros
- Highly hydrating and moisturizing for dry skin
- Absorbs quickly into the skin
- Effective for layering in multi-step routines
- Gentle enough for daily use
- Helps resolve dry patches on combination skin
Cons
- Can leave a sticky or tacky feeling on the skin
- Potential for severe irritation, itching, or burning for some users
- Value proposition decreases as the price point rises
Caveats
- One user reported significant flaking and burning when combined with makeup and other barrier-repair products
- Some users find the formula 'wishy-washy' compared to more luxurious alternatives
Best for
- Dry skin types
- Winter skincare routines
- Users looking for a product that blurs the line between toner and moisturizer
Avoid if
- You dislike skincare products with a sticky finish
- You have highly reactive skin that may not tolerate hybrid cream-toner formulas

Laneige Cream Skin has been my HG for years now, if the ever discontinue it I might just simply vanish
Favorite product here definitely is the Laneige toner. Absorbs quickly but can feel kind of sticky on the skin.

Laneige Cream Skin
laneige is pretty solid for the price point and if youre already happy with it i wouldnt feel pressured to upgrade unless your skin is really dry or you want something more luxurious
I would consider adding something like aestura atobarrier spray, haruharu wonder probiotics essence, or laniege cream skin to routine, on slightly damp skin after cleansing/before moisturizer. These products all help a lot with hydration and have great reviews from people on this sub. I’ve tried the haruharu and laniege and really like both, with my preference being haruharu
Last week I bought the Laneige Cream Skin toner and started using it together with Avène Cicalfate because I thought it might help repair my skin barrier. On Sunday I also wore makeup, which made everything much worse. My skin became extremely itchy, flaky, and had a strong burning sensation.
Not on your list but I’m really enjoying Laneige Cream Skin and find it very hydrating.
I already have and like the Laneige, but I’m wondering for when I run out.
Personally I’ve had a good experience with Laneige cream skin
