Pros
- Do a trip around Lake Ohrid. Stop in St Naum, North Macedonia. There's a beautiful monastery there from 905AD. Also very close by another amazing tiny town called Tushemisht in Albania. Like the other have said a stop in Korce as well.
- If you can fit in Lake Ohrid, I highly recommend it.
- Lake Ohrid is a must, it was the highlight of my 7 week Balkans trip a couple summers back.
- Two of my favorite stops on my summer backpacking the Balkans, only topped by Lake Ohrid.
- Lake Ohrid defo deserves more than that one day as it fits everything from your description "hiking, nature and quaint, historical towns".
Cons
- No disrespect to ohrid, it's pretty, but it is just a small lakeside town. I really don't see why you would need more than the one and a half days you have allocated to it.
