- I would avoid the Micra, as it relies on external servers for its features.
- Micra has a polymer diffuser which I think is insane given the price point of the machine.
- I watched a review of the machine and it seems like a really good machine but also ridiculously expensive for what you get.

Parent context: I saw in other threads where people mention having issues with their micra and them being sent to be fixed often? Reply: I've not seen/read that at all. And it's not what I've experienced personally. First off, LM has techs in pretty much every major metro. ... I've had the tech twice: -First time, for a 2-year maintenance visit. Scheduled/planned, all good. -Second time, at about the 30 month mark, my expansion valve went and had to be replaced.
Absolutely gorgeous, incredibly well built, incredible heat-up, and great steam. I decided against it because I just hate that you kind of need an app if you want to be more involved and it doesn’t allow you to adjust a couple of its functions in body. It doesn’t even have a shot timer.
Micra and a Philos. You don’t want to fiddle, you just want great coffee.
Micra which I have had over 2.5 years.

I appreciate the simplicity of the Micra. The shot timer is a on issue for me given every decent scale has a timer anyway. Ultimately, at this price point you are going with heart and like many others I knew that was the Micra even for added costs.
it steams wonderfully. i prefer to remove the spouts and use the portafilter as bottomless. i can easily fit a scale and cup underneath. i love quick heat up time. it can literally pull a shot and steam in 6-7 minutes. shots are tasty and consistent. the rotary pump is nice and quiet.
I love the look of it, the quick heat up time, the build quality and reputation that comes with the name, and the shot consistency. I’m expecting this machine to last a very long time (10 years minimum)... The more I look into it the more I am becoming hesitant to pull the trigger. I’m paying $4,500 but I can’t even put a regular sized mug under the portafilter? Also no shot timer or auto shot options is surprising.
I would avoid the Micra, as it relies on external servers for its features.
