KS50 pack

Pros
- My wife and I just got a couple of KS50 packs made to our specs, and they're phenomenal. My pack weighs 20.2oz with the back pad, frame stays, and luxury features installed, and 16.2oz stripped down for fast hiking.
- the KS50 with a complete frame set starts at $180 before shipping and weighs just 16 oz.
- I guess you can get a pretty light ks50, but I've a hard time with that website
- I also have the KS50 as my regular hiking pack (frameless but with a garden pad used in the sleeves for stability).
- On my KS50 I've never had an issue fitting the poles into the side pockets with water or whatever else
Cons
- My bad. I saw where you said 3 nites tops...my 50 seems really small. Thought it would make a great weekend pack. 5.5 days of food carry was tight in it. Even with a base of 8.7.
- I have the 50L and it seems small to me. A 5-6 day food carry is tight.

I went KS50 because it just doesn’t weight much more than the KS40 and: it can kinda fit a bear can if I need it to, I wanted a slightly wider opening to make stuffing my sleeping bags into it a bit easier.
I wish I would have gotten a shoulder pocket, and the ks50 for carrying a bear can or just making packing it up easier
My KS50 with all of its bells and whistles on weighs about what your SWD did.
