Pros

  • Or the Kobo Clara 2E, which is 6 inches. It's also now discontinued.
  • I made the switch from Kindle Paperwhite to Kobo 2 years ago.... Kobo is the best! I have a Clara 2E.
  • I personally use a Kobo Clara 2E (the older model of Kobo Clara BW), so my experiences go as far as that.
  • I personally suggest Kobo Clara BW (as I own its older model Clara 2E and know the experience)
  • The Clara 2E is snappier/more responsive than the Verse Pro when both are running KOReader... Contrast-wise, the difference is **very** minor. The Clara 2E's contrast is very slightly better, but you'd only be able to tell side-by-side i...

  • I'm thinking about getting a Bigme B6 to replace a Kobo Clara 2e.

I have the Clara 2E. I mostly like it. The lighting system is much better than the Pocketbook Verse Pro/Kindle Paperwhite 10th gen which I also own and it's noticeably quicker, too. ... It unfortunately has a defective touchscreen by design (it registers phantom presses/gestures or misses taps a lot), so I wouldn't recommend the 2E it to anybody

Parent context: Another option is a Kobo! As far as I know, the Kobo Clara 2e would be the closest thing to a Kindle Paperwhite, to the point where a lot of articles and guides online directly compare the two. Reply: The Clara 2E has been replaced by the Clara BW (if buying used, I don't recommend the Clara 2E due to the buggy touch panel; the BW fixed this).

The Clara 2E is snappier/more responsive than the Verse Pro when both are running KOReader... Contrast-wise, the difference is **very** minor. The Clara 2E's contrast is very slightly better, but you'd only be able to tell side-by-side in person, probably.
