• Other good ryes include Templeton, Knob Creek, Michter's (my favorite, but $), or the namesake Sazerac.

• Also looking for other super spicy rye recommendations (love knob creek, whistle pig, things in that range).

Cons

• if there were some things you liked about Basil Haydens, but wanted to try something with a bit more character by the same distillery, then you could try Knob Creek next.
• Knob Creek keeps a lot of control over theirs as well and as of late don’t have many stores come in for picks they send out 3 to 4 samples and you choose from those.
• Parent context: I don't like the peanut and dust taste of Knob Creek so that's a pass for me. Reply: I don't like the peanut and dust taste of Knob Creek so that's a pass for me.
