Based on the reviews and measurements, I think you would be hard pressed to beat a pair of new RP-1400SWs for $1,400.
but i would look at the klipsch rp1400sw. Its pb3000 performance for a lot less. You can get two for the price of one of those.
You could look at something like the RSL Speedwoofer 12S or Klipsch RP-1400SW if you wanted to saw a few hundred on the sub.
Only look at the new RP series subs if you do that. RP-1400SW would be the most comparable to the PB-2k
