KDE Plasma

Pros

• KDE is very nice. I used to prefer Cinnamon, but KDE has evolved so much in the last decade, that it left everything else behind, imho.
• KDE Plasma is a very solid and well maintained desktop environment.
• Cinnamon one can perform quite bad on lower end machines, for example on my T480 (i5-8350u) it works quite bad, compared to something like KDE Plasma.
• Switching to KDE is the best thing I did. I saw video and thought it was ugly but once I tried it that's it it's the same DE regardless of distro
• CachyOS (mine on kde plasma with librewolf just consumes 1.4Gigs of ram with 6 tabs open)

Cons

• Plasma applications and utilities take a moment to open and can be sluggish, but are generally tolerable.
• I reccomend looking at Desktop Environmnets like Gnome, KDE Plasma
• KDE Plasma gives you a ton of customization, probably more than you'll ever need. But that's also why I wouldn't automatically recommend it to a complete beginner. It's easy to spend more time tweaking your desktop than actually using th...
• kde is a bit heavy try xfce
• I've also tested both KDE Plasma and GNOME, but there was no difference. Everything is fully up to date (kernel, Mesa, firmware, etc.), yet the issue persists.
