Pros

  • I’ve had several Kasa switches and never experienced this but they’re cheap enough that it’s not a huge concern if you know how to replace them.

  • Biggest issue I see is you mention lots of Kasa switches. These are wifi, so depending on how many you have that can clog up your network.
  • I at one point had over 100 "smart" wifi devices on my network mostly Kasa switches and plug in modules along with some tuya CO/Smoke detectors.
  • I was leaning towards the kasa switches, what do you all recommend?
  • Due to the fact that TP-Link makes the Kasa switches, there’s a good chance they are going to be banned in the US in the near future.

Other options are Kasa switches. I have a bunch of them and they work great but they are WiFi switches so if you ever plan on changing your WiFi settings you will have to reset and setup your switches again which is really annoying
