Reddit take

Not enough linked mention summaries yet; the source excerpts below are the evidence.

Pros

  • First project is some light switches. My switches are in an inconvenient location so I want to make it "smart" (looking at Inovelli switches)
  • Inovelli switches support this, see the wiring diagrams:
  • My zwave network consists entirely of innovelli switches. I like zwave, I think it’s a much better protocol than zigbee or thread
  • Like the inovelli switches: https://inovelli.com/collections/smart-home/products/blue-series-smart-on-off-switch-w-humidity-sensor
  • Inovelli switches will work (with some limitations) in a non-neutral installation.

Cons

  • Inovelli and zooz switches. Little bit of everything.

I'd consider using Inovelli switches in conjunction, they're smart switches with smart bulb mode. Otherwise, they keep power running to the device, but can command the device on and off while operating like a normal switch.

My Inovelli switches have LED bars on the side, and those change colors with the nightlights.

I have settled on Inovelli switches (leaning zigbee) throughout the home.

Luckily, Inovelli switches can work even without a neutral (if you buy an add-on). So that seems like a great option in any event.
