Inkbird

You'll want some form of temperature controlled fermentation system, either a converted fridge to house a plastic bucket or stainless steel conical with a heater and temp controller such as an InkBird or RAPT Controller

Go by the inkbird - it's closer to the average temp since it's taking a reading from the middle.

I used a frost-free upright freezer as my fermentation chamber for years. Picked up a cheap used unit from some shop that fixed 'em up. Controlled it with an Inkbird, and even stuck a heating bulb inside so I could raise the temp if needed.

I second an inkbird. I use an inkbird inside a minifridge connected to the fridge and a heading matt and it works great

If its an inkbird you can set it more tightly than a 10 degree drift. If not, then get inkbird.

the inkbird has another feature where it will alert you if the heater has been on too long (ie if it takes 4 hours to heat your water and you set the threshold to 6 it will alert you if it's been on for 6+)

Just ordered an inkbird. My understanding is i can plug my current heater into it, and if the heater malfunction and water gets too warm, the inkbird will shutoff off the heater

I ordered an inkbird just now, won't let it happen to mine. 😬
