Pros

  • Morebeer is my go to, fast shipping and cheap prices
  • There are sour beer kits from MoreBeer etc.
  • Morebeer.com is a reliable source. They have kits and individual ingredients.
  • my local supply store closed a few years ago, so I buy grain and yeast almost exclusively from morebeer and hops from yakima valley. ... I mainly order online from MoreBeer, and for now, shipping is free with a $59 minimum.
  • Quality kits from stores like MoreBeer and Northern Brewer will also have good instructions.

Cons

  • Morebeer has changed their format, site, shipping and now is funneled through Shop.com. It was much simpler before. Go on their site, pick your product and order. Now I have to have a code sent to me from Shop.com to access the site so I...
  • If you're in the US, Ritebrew.com, Morebeer.com, or NorthernBrewer.com would all have it.
  • The four big online retailers are MoreBeer, Northern Brewer, Homebrew Ohio and Austin Homebrew Supply.
  • Bought quite a bit from them over time, and this is the first mistake. Generally they've had stuff my local doesn't so if I can't get it locally, I buy from them.
  • Morebeer traded better customer service for consolidated inventory and reduced operating costs. No reason to buy from them now.

Morebeer has changed their format, site, shipping and now is funneled through Shop.com. It was much simpler before. Go on their site, pick your product and order. Now I have to have a code sent to me from Shop.com to access the site so I can purchase. Moreover they are using USPS and I’ve been waiting for the last 13 days for a small package that comes in an envelope.
