IKEA smart bulbs

Pros

• A good low cost entry point is IKEA. Their bulbs now include adaptive lighting when used with either a IKEA Dirigera or Philips Hue bridge.
• The ikea bulbs are rock solid, we use the RGB as I have some automations that change the color like (all lights blue if water leak detected).
• IKEA is switching from Zigbee to Thread/Matter, and their bulbs have a good reputation.
• I use HA with Ikea bulbs only without issue via a hue hub.
• I like the ikea bulbs, because it sometimes are cheaper (for example the Vallhorn sensor is the cheapest motion senzor new in my country) and they are great for general purpuse.

Cons

• I just bought a bunch of ikea bulbs (definitely not <$10 btw) and was disappointed to get home to learn they still need the hub.
• I have found they only respond to one parameter change at a time. If you send for example a command to turn on and set the color temperature it doesn't work properly. You have to seperate and send it as two commands which is annoying.
• the IKEA ones often ignores any action, and I have to repeatedly select scene before they respond.
