Iconize

Pros
- Plugins: - Periodic Notes - TaskNotes - Templatr - Dataview (though less now that Bases is out) - Iconize - Pixel Banner - Callout Manager
- I'm using the Iconize plugin. The icons are downloaded SVGs and added to a custom icon pack.
- I am using Iconize. All of the icons are custom SVGs. Or, rather, individually downloaded SVGs and added as custom icons.
- I love the application icons next to the folders.
- The Iconize extension makes it easy to see where notes originated.
Cons
- Community Plugins - iconize
- Iconize, although popular, has serious performance issues and the plugin needs TLC which is doesn't get much of.
- What I tried so far: * Iconize and Iconic, but both are hard to navigate imo. ... I personally found Iconize very buggy (likely from pulling from external dependencies), so I wouldn't use it or rely on it.
- I had to uninstall it because it would cause problems with Git to the point that Obsidian would become inoperable (UI freeze).
- Just a note on Iconize: In my experience it is buggy and the way it handles files caused me sych issues.

Other than that, I use a few for organization, like File Color, Iconize, Kanban, Tasks.
I had to uninstall it because it would cause problems with Git to the point that Obsidian would become inoperable (UI freeze).
