Pros

• My mon treated by pouring hydrogen peroxide twice a day then povidone-iodine afterwards before putting on a bandage. It left a scar (which i still find ugly lol) but nevertheless it healed up the wound effectively.
• 3% hydrogen peroxide 1 part to 3 parts water. Works great for fungus gnats
• Hydrogen peroxide can kill insects on contact, after which it degrades into water and oxygen, leaving no harmful residues as other chemical methods would.
• Ive found that soaking it in diluted hydrogen peroxide does wonders for loosening the soil around roots

Cons

• Additionally sometimes I use hydrogen peroxide and it seems to work alright but I’ve heard not to use it as it’s more irritating than benzoyl peroxide.
• Hydrogen peroxide will kill and bleach, but not as damaging to the cotton.
• Some people mentioned that peroxide can be harmful to fish and now I know. Three of my four otos were dead a few hours later and the last one is missing
• When I know a plant is an exception, I use a 4 hour alum dip because in tests, that was effective and way more gentle on plants than methods that failed like bleach and hydrogen peroxide.
