I have started to build it using hugo! A photography portfolio and a blog to run away from instagram. I am uploading the site to github and using cloudflare works to deploy it.
Hugo is quite good, it was shot in 3D AFAIK, the opening scenes have snow falling in front of the screen.
Also, look into pay-per-mile options like Hugo or Metromile if they’re in your state.
Best choices at this time in my opinion are Hugo, Eleventy (aka 11ty).
using mkdocs or another documentation generator or a theme for jekyll or hugo is free (minus your domain cost). all it needs is your content in markdown in git.
