Pros

  • The best social stealth game with active support from the devs. Every location is filled to the brim with details and opportunities to takedown your targets. The level of freedom in this game is truly amazing.
  • I love the creativity the devs put it into the scenarios you can do on these missions. ... It all feels very crime movie and is very satisfying when it plays out right.
  • In aggregate, I do highly recommend the hitman game. It's the open-level assassin simulator you didn't realize you wanted.
  • Meanwhile I find the game plenty hard enough on normal difficulty!
  • I've been playing it, and I pretty much agree, even though I've still had a great time mastering each level.

Cons

  • I had enough fun to enjoy the base game but not enough to actually spend the money once I figured out how to get the full thing. ... They made the purchasing options for this one fairly obnoxious. The base game "Hitman, World of Assassin...
  • My only gripe with Hitman is the fucking always on internet connection for a FUCKING SOLO GAME
  • Related to difficulty -- one thing that annoyed me is that by default all hints are enabled and if you don't turn off at least some of them you may find yourself unintentionally following a built-in walkthrough.
  • However, my biggest criticism of these games (beside the shallow storytelling — but the story was never the focus anyway) is, frankly, that they are **too forgiving,** to the detriment of depth and immersion.
  • With all of the episodic shennanigans, bundling, packaging, repackaging, and rebranding that IO Interactive has done with this trilogy, I have no idea what I should be wanting to buy anymore.

I had enough fun to enjoy the base game but not enough to actually spend the money once I figured out how to get the full thing. ... They made the purchasing options for this one fairly obnoxious. The base game "Hitman, World of Assassination" only comes with 1/3rd of the story and the 'upgrade to full game' option just takes you to the battle pass store.

Personally my enjoyment comes from playing on Master Mode and achieving tough missions in one, uninterrupted/unspotted chain. ... I thought the game was too easy at first, but getting Silent Assassin without dying made me appreciate the simpler, less realistic guard behaviors.
