Pros
- We have a Hatch on 50% brown noise whenever we're trying to get him to sleep.
- The free stuff for Hatch is *entirely* sufficient. I did the free trial and literally never even used the paid crap anyway.
- I believe a hatch has everything you're looking for.
- But the hatch has a ton of white/brown noise and color options without the upgrade. We love ours!
- What do you need a paid subscription for with the Hatch? I have two and have never paid a subscription and I use them pretty elaborately all things considered (variety of colors, sounds, and have a full schedule set up for when those thi...

- Parent context: That's the one im thinking. I was just concerned about only being able to control from app. Which version do you have? Reply: Mine are the older Bluetooth versions so hopefully someone with a newer one chimes in. The ones...
- the Hatch is a life saver ... but what the flipping fuck.. I didn’t realize they have paid subscription fees and our hatch is pretty much been a clock for the past few months
- Ya, we have a hatch and will be getting another one for baby #2 for consistency but I don't get the hype 😂 we could have used another one for sure. And I don't know about the paywall, but the app itself takes so long to connect to the m...
- I have the infamous Hatch and I actually do not like it or think it's worth the hype LOL. I do use it but a lot of the features are behind a paywall so I just use the rain sound!

Parent context: That's the one im thinking. I was just concerned about only being able to control from app. Which version do you have? Reply: Mine are the older Bluetooth versions so hopefully someone with a newer one chimes in. The ones I have can be used manually for some basic settings. There's just not as many options, like programming 'ok to wake' would need to be done on the app.

Ya, we have a hatch and will be getting another one for baby #2 for consistency but I don't get the hype 😂 we could have used another one for sure. And I don't know about the paywall, but the app itself takes so long to connect to the machine, and has been unable to do so many times.
My 3 year old has a hatch that we like to use for bedtime stories, music, and soothing sounds, as well as a nightlight.
My 3yo usually still has a rain sound on his hatch all night.
