Haakaa

Pros

• thankfully I do have a haaka and a decent breast pump that I purchased in the states during my last visit.
• I was able to get a decent amount out by using a manual breast pump from Philips and the haakaa
• You can use collection cups instead of a Haakaa as the collection cups don’t use suction and won’t impact supply.
• If you’re just a little bit engorged, you can use something like the haakaa to remove just enough milk to be comfortable.
• I used a haakaa instead of a pump since it’s gentler and less stimulating, but it’ll still remove milk if you’re engorged.

Cons

• Parent context: What happened with Haakaa?? I loved their products during my last baby time and they are on my list to buy again! Please tell me, I’ll assist you in burning it down. Reply: Short story - they delivered only 1/2 products,...
• I had a horrible experience with Haakaa in Europe, it's an absolute disaster of a company, but luckily it was a 50€ product.
• She tried: warm compresses, massage, different nursing positions, haakaa with Epsom salt, nothing helped.
• I did use the Haakaa to catch the letdown (first drops or spray of milk on the opposite boob.)
• I had an intense oversupply brought on by only a haakaa.
