Grand Marnier

Pros
- 1 orange liqueur (Cointreau, grand marnier, or Pierre Fernando dry curaçao, chose what fits you best)
- For example, a little splash of St Germain, Italicus, or even Grand Marnier can heighten this drink.
- Try it with Grand Marnier, that's my preferred spec.
- For the orange liqueur, I am a big fan of mixing Grand Marnier, Clement Creole Shrubb, and Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao.
- When I was first making Sidecars, I used Cointreau and Gran Marnier and Triple Sec, all of which I felt did not need any added sugar.
Cons
- This is me and most orange liqueurs, honestly. Cointreau, Dry Curacao, Grand Marnier, etc... they all feel like they overpower whatever drink I make with them unless I cut the measurement down to like half of what the original recipe cal...

See if Benedectine is cheaper there. Cognac and grand Marnier too.
I’ve had pretty good success with these specs - 2 oz vanilla vodka, 1 oz Grand Marnier, 1/2 oz OJ, 1/2 oz half & half, shake with ice, strain rocks glass filled with ice
I used Redbreast 12 (and Grand Marnier instead of Cointreau) and I liked it a lot.
½ cup Grand Marnier or other orange liqueur, divided
