Goodnotes

Pros

• if I need to edit the PDF I use Goodnotes now that it’s on Android and Windows.
• You can get dirt cheap Tian Zi Ge books from Amazon or just import a pdf into something like goodnotes and have infinite "paper" for free.
• With GoodNotes i setup the autobackup to GoogleDrive and then on my Mac i setup a Linked folder in obsidian. Then my handwritten notes are available in Obsidian.
• the first thing i installed after Spotify was Goodnotes (shoutout to Goodnotes ). It felt like stepping into the future. Dream coming true.
• I use goodnotes, as it has the best pencil handling I’ve seen, and it also recognizes my writing. So, all is searchable.

Cons

• What program do you use for handwritten notes? If with GoodNotes then I have a guide for it
• At the moment I'm using Goodnotes for handwritten notes and Obsidian for typed notes, but I can't get obsidian onto my iPad without sync and I can't get Goodnotes onto my win11 laptop easily as well so I'm thinking about committing to one.
• Hand write in notes or good notes
• At the moment, I use One Note, Goodnotes, Obsidian or VScode if I have to take notes on ipynb/Rmd files.
• I really don't care about all the features that Goodnotes has, I just want a basic app with a pen, eraser, highlighter and most importantly an undo shortcut/gesture (like double tapping with two fingers in Goodnotes).
