Gibson Les Paul

Pros

• Should be fixable, I fixed my Les Paul which looked similar. Best to have a Luthier do it, and it went fine.
• I can't play Fenders but the neck of a Les Paul is perfect for me and all I play.
• Les Paul into a Pignose dialed up to 11. No FX needed. I’m in a studio with almost anything I could dream of available, including modelers that can literally do anything I can dream of… I always go back to the pig and a Les Paul.
• Now years later I've got a Les Paul that I love but I mostly only play it for specific songs.
• A Les Paul is definitely within reason.

Cons

• Parent context: Honestly tho! Pickups and bridges is about it Reply: I would die to put a Floyd rose on a Les Paul without buying that $4k one
• I’d upgrade my LPs if they were actually upgradable lol
• probably more because they've been widely used for ages in a wide range of styles, and they're not as cumbersome as many guitars, particularly around when they were a new model. (and they weigh half to a third of what some les pauls do?)
• I’ve tried Strats, Jazzmasters, Les Pauls, SGs; you name it. None has ever felt (to me) the way a Telecaster does
• I've used it for songs I would normally want a les paul as well as for songs I'd use a telecaster.
