Pros
- I was considering trying out garmin coach for cycling - i have used garmin coach for running and was quite satisfied in the past.
- I would highly recommend it. It improved my times significantly.
- I recently completed the Garmin Coach plan for a half marathon (I ran about 10K/week at the start, peaked at a 35k week). ... I recommend using it simply because it's free. It's not for everyone and you might want to go with something el...
- Garmin coach is good overall. For a new runner, it’s good to know that Garmin coach expects you to train at least 5 days a week
- It's a fair start for your first training plan.
Cons
- The biggest difference is that Garmin adapts the training more where Runna seemed to have a set schedule. ... However sometimes that becomes annoying if I'm looking forward to a hard anaerobic run on Friday, and suddenly it disappears fr...
- Following a plan, regardless of Garmin coach or anything else felt more meaningful. Funny enough those GC plans don’t care about training readiness or any other data they’ve gin from the watch so it’s kinda weird.
- used Garmin for my first HM and it was great but it was annoying seeing my workouts change because of sleep, stress, body battery, etc… also Garmin does everything in its power to balance the training Load Focus (Anaerobic, High Aerobic,...
- Garmin got me into almost injurying myself and the adapting pissed me off so much because it is so sensitive
- Garmin does not offer a Marathon Training program. Nothing more than a Half. I like Garmin better overall. But the Runna was good in it's own way. But I am back to using the Garmin again.

The coach seems like a good tool, but it feels pretty useless if the suggested paces keep getting slower the longer I train with it because my VO2max keeps dropping.
I used garmin coach for a while. I found it to lack nuance and variety. It played to the garmin training status well. But that's about it for me.

It's not for everyone and you might want to go with something else down the line but it's always smart to start with a perfectly good option which is free
