Pros

  • iv had a lot of galaxy watches and this is by far my favorite.
  • Based on my experiences with my Galaxy Watches and Apple Watches, you’ll be fine in the pool and in the shower.
  • Ive been very happy with all my galaxy watches outside of the HR tracking being hit or miss sometimes. I still felt every upgrade was worth it.
  • The Galaxy watches seem to be quite generous when it comes to assigning Sleep scores. Consistently, I find myself receiving scores above 80, and even several in the 90+ range.

Cons

  • Hate to say it but Galaxy watches are awful in standalone. He probably won't even get to the end of the day with the watch because the LTE uses so much battery life. One time I tried using my watch to listen to Spotify on a kayaking trip...
  • It's a good watch but I've seen too many instances of Galaxy watches going white in the screen due to water damage. Happens way too easily in what should be mature battle worn tech.
  • My main problem w/ Galaxy watches is the battery.
  • there’s an equally silly metric in how the Galaxy Watches gauge exercise intensity. Do a proper hard–easy schedule, and it scolds you for “slacking” on rest days. Go hard every day, and there’s no warning that you’re over-training and no...
  • Have had a few other variants of the galaxy watches over the years and they all crap out right after warranty on me for one reason or another.

there’s an equally silly metric in how the Galaxy Watches gauge exercise intensity. Do a proper hard–easy schedule, and it scolds you for “slacking” on rest days. Go hard every day, and there’s no warning that you’re over-training and not recovering. The data’s all there -- Samsung just hasn’t bothered to stitch it together into something actually useful.

Generally, Galaxy Watches kinda suck at health tracking, and that includes the latest Watch 7 and Watch Ultra. They're often very inaccurate.
