Pros

  • got it at the same time as my Gaggia Classic Pro. That one I’m sure I can upgrade but I’m happy with it so I’ll wait until I feel like I’ve outgrown it.
  • If you want a machine you'll grow into and possibly mod: go Gaggia Classic Pro.
  • Classic beginner machine and is working well for me
  • Not sure if it’s the best but I went with a Baratza encore esp and a gaggia classic pro which I bought used.
  • So happy to finally own a Gaggia. Bought it of FB Marketplace a few weeks go and it works like a charm.

Cons

  • Previously, lattes were reserved for the weekend when I had more time to dedicate to getting good results out of the GCP.
  • I hesitated between the Bambino Plus and the Gaggia Classic Pro
  • Currently have a gaggia classic pro with the aluminum boiler and was wanting an upgrade
  • Parent context: I’m on the Fence of a Gaggia Classic Pro and the Robot. Looks like you have the GCP, which do you prefer just for espresso quality / Workflow? Reply: Quality of espresso: Robot Work flow: just different Quickn...

Parent context: Very cool, love the low noise level. Will this work in a Gaggia classic pro, is the pump (that you designed?) available and if so how much is the pump, and finally just how difficult is the install? Thanks! Reply: Hey you got to this before I could post the details! I put a link to pre order in my other comment. In terms of time I would say it takes maybe 5 minutes on the gaggia, a rule of thumb is that it probably takes about as long as replacing the pump would normally when they wear out.

Parent context: I’m on the Fence of a Gaggia Classic Pro and the Robot. Looks like you have the GCP, which do you prefer just for espresso quality / Workflow? Reply: Quality of espresso: Robot Work flow: just different Quickness: GCP if on a smart switch Milk: GCP (Obviously) Build quality: Robot but GCP is also very good just has more bits to break and clean
