Pros

  • Funny thing is I kinda used Fusion wrong/inefficiently for years until I found this tutorial that teaches you how to model by showing things that you would actually WANT to make.
  • So I downloaded fusion having never designed a single thing. Armed with a set of calipers, a camera, and some fusion YouTube tutorials, worked from a picture and almsot perfectly duplicated the part!
  • I sweared that when i learn modeling in Fusion enouhg, i'll design my own.
  • If order doesn't matter to you, I'd recommend Zero Mission or Fusion next as they're more easier to get into as someone new to the series.
  • I’d like to learn fusion because it seems to be more catered to making components like hinges, latches, etc it just seems better for making objects.

Cons

  • Sounds like what I would do in fusion
  • One thing I most certainly learned is that parametrizing or just navigating timeline in Fusion with generated gears is pain - the damn thing takes ages to recalculate at best and freezes or crashes Fusion at worst.
  • I’m seeing a lot of 2013-2016 Fusions in the price range listed, and they seem to have mixed reviews. ... I’d be in a rough spot if I spent $5000 on a Fusion and the coolant issue happened so that makes me hesitant, otherwise it’d be my...
  • One day I'm gonna have to sit and watch hours of fusion videos
  • My model making journey always goes the same. Open Fusion. Click some things. Click some more things. Whisper to myself “what in the fuck did I do now” (x10). Continue to stare at screen. Then slowly accept the fact that I must go sit ba...
