Pros

  • One suggestion I have for you here is to skip a sound card, and look into an external DAC/Amp instead. Schiit, Fosi, Fiio, and a few others all make great usb units that are worth it
  • My current setup in decently sized room with non-terrible acoustics, 90ies mid-fi speakers, Fosi V3 amp and DIRAC room correction is good enough that I'm not reallydisappointed about that and just enjoy the music.
  • I use fosi external amps for height rear and bass shakers. Sounds amazing and plenty loud.
  • I have a Topping DAC (D50 III), Fiio CD player (DM13) and a Fosi amp (v3). These each of these $100-200 devices performs admirably and traditional brands can’t compete at these prices.
  • Reviews have been good for the Fosi V3

Cons

  • i borrowed a Fosi from a friend to check out and i was fatigued in 30 minutes

I have seen many comments saying the Fosi V3 is a good option?

I’m currently using Fosi V3 (48V), P1, WiiM Mini and sometimes with the Storm but it’s not needed as the bass is already good.

As an example, you could buy multiple WiiM streamers ($80/each) and an equal number of cheap class-D amps (Fosi is an option at $80/each), and then you can use the WiiM interface to link/unlink zones as you see fit.

But I've got a bunch of Fosi, Schiit, & misc gear with a set of Wharfedale Denton 85's that I play with a LOT.
