Pros

• A food processor with the grater attachment would be great, assuming you want the shreds like cheese, like when making latkes.
• A food processor does all the chopping and grating at the press of a button.
• I just use a food processor with the blade.
• I've used both stand mixer attachment and the food processor attachment and I've found the food processor works better.
• I've never had an issue using the grating disc on a food processor for potato pancakes.

Cons

• I do BIAB so pulverizing the grain is fine. I've used my food processor in a pinch.
