Flourish Excel

Pros

• I did get a big bout of hair algae and maybe panicked and hit it with Flourish Excel. It took care of it
• Flourish Excel would be a middle option.
• In place of your missing co2 use flourish excel every other day
• Just Seachem flourish and flourish excel once a week each.
• I ran across some video recommending flourish excel to battle hair algae along with boosting fertilizer. I tried it and shit you not it is gone now, not even a week later. Apparently algae hates the stuff.

Cons

• I'm using "Flourish Excel", blindly trusted the man at the local fish store when he said that's all I need. Your comment spurred me to look it up, and it sounds like it would kill shrimp if I put them in.
• Flourish Excel isn't a fertilizer. It's an algicide.
• Excel is a gimmick IMO. Liquid carbon is not equivalent to co2.
• Also any good all in one fertiliser recommendations would be helpful as I’m trying to switch from flourish and flourish excel!
• I’ve been dosing flourish excel (in the past it’s done wonders for battling stubborn staghorn algae) but it hasn’t done much this time around.
