Reddit take

Not enough linked mention summaries yet; the source excerpts below are the evidence.

Pros

  • Fitbit was definitely great at a few things like sleep, and I tracked calories with their app sometimes.
  • I was upgrading for Fitbit for better running and training metrics.
  • Other countries have more Android phone users and I'd say Fitbit if a watch is preferred towards Garmin for more sports monitoring / on the bike units.
  • Do I just want to get him a Fitbit or something similar, or are there other products that might be a better fit?
  • If you have fitbit and walk x steps a day, this would count as a plus to either start your day or accomplish something before the time for you to do it.

Cons

  • Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Fitbit / P90x
  • They were both fitbit users but seemed to have to replace them pretty regularly...
  • I legit thought I was supposed to wear my Fitbit on my right and then of course that’s transferred to my Apple Watch.
  • According to my fitbit, i am getting 6-7 hrs of total sleep between night feeds and afternoon naps, but I'm rarely entering REM or deep sleep; over 90% of my sleep is just light.
  • How Google was destroying Fitbit and its software platform was truly stunning. IMO Garmin is light years ahead of Fitbit for its customers
