Pros
- Maybe it's because I'm old and I grew up with games like Zelda and shows like Firefly, where they had their dark moments but overall there was a mood of positivity.
- I've played Firefly a fair bit. It's very thematic, with many situations that are callbacks to the show or very much in the spirit of the show. ... But for the most part it's a good game and it becomes a great game if you actually like F...
- It’s fun, the theme is strong. It’s fundamentally a race game. It’s very long and the board is big, or enormous if you get all the expansions.
- I needed a bit at the start to figure out what was going on, but once it clicked it turned into a great game.
- Don't just look at Hank lights. Also take a look at Firefly! Both make great lights with different emitter choices and Aunduril UI
Cons
- There's also Firefly, which is just...well, I don't even know where to begin. (Hint: it has absolutely nothing to do with the TV series. But it has a lot to do with pedophilia.)
- Pros? It's delves deep into Firefly lore and the designers clearly loved the show. More importantly, it feels like being a scoundrel/Big Damn Hero. You end up moving all over the system doing crimes and all that. Cons? It takes a while...
- Agree about the luck part, it's more about RP/theme then fair competition. Plenty of RNG in the game: if you move your ship then you have to draw and resolve a card. Might be positive, might be negative. When you go to the shop you dra...
- As someone who did not watch Firefly, I have to say I did not enjoy the game. It took too long and I found that there is a relatively high degree of luck, or bad luck, to be considered. The components were nice.
- Firefly also still have QC issues, but the usually are glue related, or usb charging.

Pros? It's delves deep into Firefly lore and the designers clearly loved the show. More importantly, it feels like being a scoundrel/Big Damn Hero. You end up moving all over the system doing crimes and all that. Cons? It takes a while to set up and too long to play. The game is also complex and can take 4+ hours to finish, which is why we've played several times and not a bunch.
Agree about the luck part, it's more about RP/theme then fair competition. Plenty of RNG in the game: if you move your ship then you have to draw and resolve a card. Might be positive, might be negative. When you go to the shop you draw cards (2 iirc) so you finding something useful for you might take few turns of just drawing cards.
