Pros

  • Great review, love mine (I got 3)
  • It's surprising how tiny the Z1 is for a 18650 light, it's almost the same size as my Convoy T3
  • Parent context: *sigh* *gets out wallet* Reply: This one is totally worth it haha
  • I've had one for a few weeks, it's a great light. I've been strictly 14500 for a long time, but I don;t mind the size of this light.
  • The Z1 Artemis is really and awesome flashlight. It was even hard to find things I disliked on it. The LED is really amazing, 5000K with a little of rosy tint, excellent Lume X1 driver, AUX lights with locator and fun RGB, type III Hard...

Cons

  • Parent context: Sorry I just discovered this subreddit so I know next to nothing, can you only use 18650 battery’s that have to be charged using an external charger? You can’t use any either a built in usb port? There is no onboard usb c...
  • Parent context: **PROS** *No USB-C charging Reply: That's why I included the "*" lol. I know some people dislike the USB-C port on body, then it being a PRO/CON is a personal choice. I actually prefered if it accepted protected cells, th...
  • Doesn't accept button top or protected cells Turbo steps down fast, but this is expected on a high CRI high power flashlight like this *No USB-C charging
  • The size is great compared to the Zebralight. However, I would gladly accept the added ~2mm length to get a tail cap that completely encloses the magnet. That thing will turn to rust.

Parent context: Sorry I just discovered this subreddit so I know next to nothing, can you only use 18650 battery’s that have to be charged using an external charger? You can’t use any either a built in usb port? There is no onboard usb charging on the body itself? Reply: This flashlight, the Z1 Artemis, doesn't feature USB-C charging on the main body, and, as the flashlight is so small, the cells with USB-C I have didn't fit inside of it, so you need to charge the cells outside of this flashlight.

Parent context: **PROS** *No USB-C charging Reply: That's why I included the "*" lol. I know some people dislike the USB-C port on body, then it being a PRO/CON is a personal choice. I actually prefered if it accepted protected cells, this way it would be possible to drop in a cell with USB-C for easy charging without adding an external USB-C

The Z1 Artemis is really and awesome flashlight. It was even hard to find things I disliked on it. The LED is really amazing, 5000K with a little of rosy tint, excellent Lume X1 driver, AUX lights with locator and fun RGB, type III Hard Anodizing. It's truly and amazing flashlight with much features designed towards enthusiasts. Loved it.

If I had to pick just one, the Z1 is currently my favorite. The combination of the Lume X1 driver, Anduril 2 (Simple UI), the excellent tint, and the TIR beam profile suits my preferences really well.
