• Figma is an example of it done right, but they're more of an exception than the norm
• I've presented static Figma boards in a nice presentation that I put together in Figma slides, and the difference in client reaction is night and day.
• If your tool is very complex (like Figma), then showing templates or some kind of guides as a starting point can be very helpful.
• She showed me examples from products like notion and figma where empty states suggest templates or guide next actions, claims these details significantly impact whether new users stick around versus bounce.
• One morning you're vibe-coding some small features and sketching designs in Figma

Cons

• It's impossible to cover it all in drawing application like Figma.
• Figma Another browser. All the browsers (actually Chrome instances) might consume your CPU and battery.
• This gap, for me, is the only reason I keep going back and forth between Notion and other diagramming platforms like Miro, Figma, Excalidraw, and others.
• I’ve looked into Figma and tried a few AI website builders, but they all seem to stop at basic marketing sites.
• Notion is still my main hub, but I’ve been pairing it with eesel AI, which automatically surfaces the pages and docs for me that I’ve opened recently across Notion, Google Docs, and even Figma.
