Pros

  • I’m brewing beer from fresh wort using a kit, and I’m fermenting under pressure in a FermZilla.
  • So, I switched to a Fermzilla with floating diptube and pressure transfer, which allowed me to dump the hops directly into the beer.
  • Now I have a larger fermzilla for my intense dry hopping needs.
  • I actually just picked up a Fermzilla since I was tired of not getting full kegs and I brew for a lot of events so beer clarity is important to me. ... It's so easy for me to collect yeast and pitch into my next batch now so I'm saving m...
  • If its a pressurized fermentor (like a fermzilla), then a drop then purge is definitely OK. No oxidation was detected when I did that (judging from color/taste).

Cons

  • I used Flotit 2.0 on kegs but also in my fermzilla.
  • This will be a closed transfer from a fermzilla right to a purged keg
  • I also have a 55L fermzilla. But this isn’t feasible to chill in a mini fridge.

I actually just picked up a Fermzilla since I was tired of not getting full kegs and I brew for a lot of events so beer clarity is important to me. ... It's so easy for me to collect yeast and pitch into my next batch now so I'm saving money on yeast and pitching better yeast to boot.

I've seen exponential increase in quality (and consistency) after I got the Fermzilla, and even more (especially in mash efficiency and hot side hopping quality) after I got the brewzilla

I ferment in a fermzilla as well as a 6.5gallon corny keg.

I guess plastic solutions like Fermzilla will be cheaper and better suited but I really want to stay with Stainless steel
