Fenix 8 Solar

Pros

• Good luck with your choice they are both great watches, and you're splitting hairs really, lol.
• I feel the 8 Solar is worth more/will hold value better, but tbh I'd pick the 970.
• I promise the 8 is better and depending on the light it may or may not matter that much to you. One more as close as I can possibly make it, and while the 7 is fine the 8 is a little better.
• Potentially worth it for current feature updates, easier visibility particularly indoors.
• The Fenix 8 solar and enduro 3 readability are much better as they changed the solar technology. ... That has changed now with the enduro 3 and F8 having a solar ring around the outside. That actually works and charges the watch.

Cons

• I think the bigger problem with F8 Solar visibility is the lack of legible, big digit, high contrast stock watch faces, not the sapphire glass.
• If money is not a problem, and you want all the best features for health, maps, literally everything else, have a look at the ridiculously expensive Fenix 8 solar
• Now I’m considering getting the 7 Pro Solar, but I’m also wondering if it’s worth investing more and going straight for the Fenix 8 Solar.
• Compared to a new fenix 8 solar at $1100, you're not giving up a whole lot. Unless you specifically go diving or really need the speaker/microphone.
