This is actually why I like [Fan Control](https://getfancontrol.com/). I have a hybrid curve where my chassis fans ramp to the highest value of CPU and GPU. If the CPU temp spikes, the chassis fans increase. If the CPU is low, and the GPU spikes, the chassis fans increase. It's pretty great.
