FairEmail is the best Android email client available from any functionality perspective. It does more, can be customized more, and is the most privacy-respecting app you will find.
A fully independent, open source, privacy-conscious email client. It has more features than every other option listed here combined. It can filter your email of trackers and data-mining contained in the emails. The interface is maligned for looking very old, but it's not bad in practice and remains quite easy to use.

From my experience it's the fastest client on syncing
+1 forFair email. It's great but you do need to spend some time setting it up how you like. It also allows you to copy emails across folders across email accounts.
I was using FairEmail but recently switched to Thunderbird email. I kinda feel bad ditching the sole developer of Fair but I've already donated twice to him.
Moved over to FairEmail two weeks ago anzway, because I did not find Thunderbird as good as I hoped it would be.
