Charging $8 grand for the QB1000, which is a mildly tweaked LS12000, is just insulting when you can buy an entry level JVC with LCoS tech which will shit on it in every way imaginable except perhaps pure brightness.
But even the long throw QB1000 compared to the LS12000 has only made incremental improvements.
The QB1000 is a very mildly upgraded LS12000 and frankly the pricing in America is nuts. When you can buy a new JVC with LCoS tech and 40000:1 contrast for the same money as a used QB1000 something's just off.
Personally I'd never buy a QB1000 at the prices they want. It's a fine enough projector but $8 grand retail? I'd like some of what they've been smoking at Epson.

QB1000 is the successor to the LS12000. It's *very* similar to the LS12000 (there's at least one side by side video on Youtube) and it costs something insane like $8 grand or whatever. At that price point I'd seriously question why anyone wouldn't just move on to a JVC or Sony LCoS option instead. The QB1000 is basically a mildly tweaked LS12000 that costs a fortune in the US at least.
Look into Epson LS12000, QB1000, or Valerion VisionMaster Max.
Debating on whether the Valerion Max would be an upgrade, or if I should splurge and go up to the QB1000.
In the end, the Epson QB1000 made the most sense for my space and my budget. I liked the brightness and how it made HDR look on my 135” 16x9 1.3 gain screen.
Need help because I think the “fix” is spending $2k on a screen for the Valerion or swapping to epson ls12000 or QB1000.
