Another issue I've noticed with tri laser projectors is edges havinh color fringing. Probably because of me being a glasses wearer, but it's a lot worse at my local cinema with a barco laser projector than my led lcd Epson at home, even with the latter having a wider FOV.
I cant seem to justify spending the same if not more on the Epson if its not Native 4k..
For completely zero rainbow it will still be epson. There's also color drift, laser speckle, dithering and metamerism issue that's not an issue on Epson too.

If you can afford jvc, epson and sony, just get them. The only reason you hear about the likes of xgimi, valerion, nexigo etc is due to price. They are significantly cheaper and perform ~80% of jvc, sony, epson.

I mean, I don't hate Epson. I own an Epson I like, I bought it knowing its drawbacks going in. But for a long throw projector I don't think they have much under $10 grand right now that can stand up to the competition.
As an Epson owner, I honestly think Epson has been run over by the Chinese in many ways.
It would be great if Epson could produce a quantum leap in quality in a similar 3LCD design. I'm fairly happy with mine but it could be much improved.
