Epson 5050

Pros

• I went from a 2100 to 5050 and the difference was crazy. The 2100 was great for what it was, but the black levels and colour output are next level on the 5050.
• I'm a big fan of Epson projectors I've never tried their laser projectors, but I've had an older Epson 3500 and currently the 5050.
• If you really want to try LCD the move is to get an Epson 5050.
• Don't worry too much about 4K - a very good upscaled 1080p projector like an Epson 4010 or 5050 will look great at 120 inches.
• Epson 5050. Cause I have it, I love it, and you can get it for significantly less money than that.

Cons

• Don't bother with epson 5050. It's a good projector (I have one) but you want to get a laser projector nowadays.
• I don’t know much about lamp models in the <$3k price range - Epson 3800 or 5050 comes to mind as a starting point
• In addition, I had and Epson 5050 that wasn't close to picture quality of the Valerion.
• I got a Epson 5050 and didn't like it (upgrading from 5020).
