Emisar E04 Surge

One of my current favorite carries is the E04 Surge... at 40mm.

E04 Surge would get my nod for something slightly larger and at the upper limit of “jeans pocketable” if you want something throwier.

In the 1lumen review of the Lume1 E04 surge, it sustains (already about best in class) 1000lm, that's before increasing the thermal limit, which brings performance to about 1500lm for close to 1.5hrs.

The E04 surge with Lume1 driver already sustains between 800-1000lm, so to me I feel like the higher turbo brings more to the table compared to a little bump in sustain?

Either the Fireflylite X4 Stellar or the E04 Surge... They are available with a lantern conversion kit that you can hang from branches, hooks or inside of a tent or used on a table to as a makeshift lantern. They can also be dimmed down to next to nothing, below 1-lumen.

I have a Surge with 505HB and with SFT40 3000K, both lights are good.

most people are no more impressed with my ~7,000 lumen DT8 than ~3,200 lumen E04, or even ~1,500 lumen D3AA.

I would recommend the E04 Surge from firefly-outdoor.com or the X4 Stellar and don't pass up on the lantern kit for them, the base is useful in certain situations but not necessary.

I currently have an E04 Surge with the lantern kit and SFT-40 3000k emitters, and it has become one of my favorite and most-used lights because of the lantern kit. It makes a really nice bedside lamp

If I want to carry a 40mm light, I'll take my E04 Surge. Not bad at pointing, high-CRI, about the throw of a TS12, and 21700 for higher sustained output and five times the battery life.
